It's A New Game

The GTHL has adopted the new rules emphasis and penalty standard that is being enforced across Canada, the USA and IIHF.

While the rules of the game have not changed the new standard will provide players with the opportunity for improved skill development and a more positive and safe hockey environment for all participants. The GTHL believes that this new rules standard will place a greater emphasis on the basic building of the game - skating, puck possession and proper body positioning.
