Greater Toronto Hockey League Announces Details for the GTHL Top Prospects Game, Powered by Under Armour

TORONTO – November 23, 2017 –The top 40 GTHL Minor Midget AAA players will showcase their skills in the 9th Annual GTHL Top Prospects Game, Powered by Under Armour on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Scotiabank Pond in Downsview Park.

Six celebrity coaches will be behind the benches at this year’s event, including NHL alumni Wendel Clark, Adam Graves, Darcy Tucker, Wayne Primeau, Mike Weaver, and Shayne Corson. Each roster will feature two goaltenders, six defencemen and 12 forwards.

“This event has seen great success over the past nine years and we’re very honoured to have continued support from both sponsors and spectators,” said GTHL Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Scott Oakman. “Many talented players have participated in this event in the past and we’re always excited to give the next generation the opportunity to showcase their skills. The League is grateful to Under Armour for their continued support and for providing fans and players with the best possible experience.”

Alumni of the event include current NHL stars Connor McDavid, Mitch Marner, Max Domi, and more.

Ten different Minor Midget AAA clubs will be represented at the event, with the Toronto Marlboros leading all clubs with ten players.

Advance tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/prospecttix17 or at the GTHL office, located inside Scotiabank Pond at 57 Carl Hall Road in Toronto. The GTHL office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate. Advance ticket purchase is recommended to avoid line-ups at the arena. No passes will be accepted.
